It is old news because, if you believe there is any truth in the scurrilous Frank satire magazine in Ottawa, proudly loathed by legions, it announced it was bye-bye to the four-anchor experiment way back on Nov. 29, 2019 under the headline, “The Corpse: Anchors Away at The National.”
As Frank put it: “Now that CBC management has acknowledged what viewers instantly realized two years ago — that The National stinks — will the architects of the disaster be thrown under the Corpse’s clown car?
“Any private broadcaster would be frog-marching their disgraced executives onto the tumbrels but, at the Corpse, the buck never stops.”
