To the Prime Minister:
The federal government has run deficits in 37 of the last 50 years, which has resulted in a federal debt of over $698 billion. This debt costs Canadians $23 billion dollars per year in interest payments alone.
We the undersigned call on your government to return to balanced budgets as soon as possible and put forward a concrete plan to begin paying off our federal debt.
